Be sure to Mark April 27 on next year's calendar. It not only is opening day of trout season, it is the day where we will celebrate our tenth anniversary.
The place will be beautiful Hidden Valley Resort in Gaylord. The conference facility reserved at the resort is large, comfortable, and offers a magnificent view of a lovely valley. The chef assures me that he and his staff will prepare a memorable meal.
This will not be a fund-raising dinner. Rather it is an opportunity for those who love the Au Sable and its sister river, the Manistee, to get together, enjoy an evening celebrating these wondrous rivers, and recalling the past ten years. The fundraising will be limited to a silent auction featuring a few, very special items.
More news and details will be forthcoming in a special mailing and in the next Riverwatch. But mark April 27 and be sure to attend.
