To promote the organization and raise awareness, in 1988 the Anglers began an informal project to order high-quality premium, or branded merchandise. Initially we ordered pins to help us promote a higher level of giving; the Sponsoring and Contributing levels of membership received a Cloisonné year-designated pin acknowledging each member's contribution. In 1989, we also added a general membership pin that can be purchased.

Along the same time as the pins, we also produced a high quality micro-stitched five-color patch, an interior-applied window decal, and several baseball-styled fishing hats.

At present, general pins, internally- and externally-applied decals, patches and several varieties of hats are offered as fundraisers. They can be purchased at Gates Au Sable Lodge. Prices for each are:

We have a limited number of general membership pins available for purchase by
members and non-members. Pins are 1.25" in diameter and have a hinged pin clasp.

Actual general membership pin is slightly different from display model;
base metal is pewter color and cloisonné appliqué is forest green.

Equally as important, we recognize that artistic projects like the "Fishing Flies of the Au Sable" and our support of Mike Delp’s book, "Under The Influence Of Water" sometimes make a more meaningful and lasting statement about our cause. Throughout history, civilization has relied on art and artists to make provocative statements about all that have concerned us. We believe the Au Sable River, richly steeped in story and myth, will benefit once again from the displays of fishing flies used on its waters. Flies that one day might be gentle reminders to your grandchildren that it is those same flies that work still.
